We are all currently in a relatively similar boat, some more vulnerable than others but we are all hoping for the best I’m sure! However planning for the worst may provide some emotional relief for those we love.

As I write this I’m thinking of a gift I received from a cousin in Canada which brought back to life memories of years gone by and brought my father who passed away 20 years ago, back into the room as a much younger man. The gift was a recording of him speaking with his brother in Canada back in 1963 originally recorded on reel-to-reel tape and restored digitally. He was speaking about the baby mum was carrying which was me! The smiles it brought to my face, the memories of my disabled dad sitting in his chair in the front window of number 50 and mum who can be heard in the background, wonderful.  It is now a treasured possession of mine.

In our modern times we can produce recordings of our voices, videos of ourselves and others with the ease of simply picking up our smart phone!

Some of us may have grandchildren, who, if we pass on, may not easily remember our voices, our love for them, and/or any special message we’ve told them, or haven’t had the opportunity to tell them yet.

A feature of the Platinum plan is the storage of digital assets along with a web page to distribute the digital messages which could be voice recordings or video or both. During this Covid-19 epidemic we are providing this element of the Platinum plan to all plans free of charge, we’ll simply add it on to your existing service.

You can leave a message as either voice recordings or video or both for that matter, that will remain private and unheard/unseen until you have passed on. When that day arrives and your executors retrieve your will from our storage service they will also receive instructions regarding the web page and it’s https:// address to forward to those concerned.

If you have family overseas your executors can simply send them an email with the https:// address and with one click they will be looking at your page, listening to your message and/or watching your video.

Storage and a Lot More!

So, in simple terms if you have, or intend to have, your documents in our storage service you can also have free of charge the video and voice recording service. You can include up to 5 voice recordings and 1 video on your page. If however you’d like to leave personal videos for more than one person and require more than one web page (ie. more than one https:// address) then this can be provided for a one off small fee for production of £36.50.
